Dracula Chapters 17-20 Soojin Angie Hijo

PRE-ACTIVITY (10 min)

What you need to do: read the section thoroughly :)

This activity is just created to refresh people's knowledge about this section. The class will be divided into 3 groups of four. Each person in the group will rotate and have a chance to ask questions to other members of the group. The student will be given five note cards on which important terms in this section are written. Each student will have to explain the terms without mentioning the term itself (so you must read the book in order to explain!) and the other students must guess what they're talking about. The student who gets the most wins the round. On the note cards, quotes are also going to be written and the student just needs to read the quote and the others guess what it is. The winner of each group will be given a prize!

ACTIVITY (20 min)

Your To-Do's:
1. Assign yourself to ONE character in ONE of the following scenes before class.
2. Re-read and make yourself familiar with what happens in your scene.
Hint: Focus on the main concepts, not details.. what basically happens in your scene?

In Class:
You will be getting together with the other characters in your scene. You will have exactly five minutes of preparation to come up with a small skit (no script necessary, very informal) that effectively shows the main events and ideas of your scene, but in (literally) half the time. Even if your scene is 10 pages long, your skit must be under one minute.

The objective is to reduce the scenes to the most essential points and events.
